Modesty and Guys
By susie onTuesday, October 02, 2007
Susie: I feel that God has led me to be an example to other girls in the area of modesty. I have a passion to tell others my age that real beauty is what comes from your spirit. But I’ve reached a roadblock. I know I’m beautiful, because God tells me that in Scripture, but I don’t see it when it comes to guys. I strongly support Modesty, because I don’t want to get the yucky guys that come with dressing immodestly, but I want guys to notice me a bit more. I don’t really mean that I want a boyfriend or anything, but I just want more attention. Is this wrong? And how can I stop wanting to competing with other girls to get attention from the guys? Sometimes I think guys don’t care if a girl dresses modestly, because when I respect guys and dress modestly, it never gets me anywhere with them, while the girls who show a little skin even get the “nice” guys looking their way. I just feel like my efforts to respect guys is only making me invisible. Sophia
